Partha Roy, Kolkata: The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata organized the “Thai Food Festival” in collaboration with the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) on 17th May2025.
The festival featured “Pad Thai,” Thailand’s national dish, crafted by Thai Master Chefs – Chef Som and Chef Samrong, and IIHM chefs. Attendees included diplomats, corporate representatives, and top chefs. Consul-General Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep and IIHM Director Smt.
Sanjukta Bose highlighted food’s role in building goodwill and promoting economic growth. The festival showcased traditional Thai delicacies, including Tom Yum Goong and Mango Sticky Rice. The event strengthened people-to-people connections between Thailand and India, promoting cultural exchange and culinary innovation.
