Satish Kaushik, Actor and Director, Dies at 66

NEWS WAVE INDIA: Actor-Director Satish Kaushik has passed away at the age of 66 after suffering a heart attack while at a friend’s home in Delhi. His close friend and industry colleague Anupam Kher confirmed the news and expressed his shock and sadness at the sudden loss. Kaushik was an accomplished actor and director, known for his roles in films such as “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron”, “Mr India”, and “Deewana Mastana”, as well as directing movies like “Tere Naam” and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”. He will be greatly missed by the film fraternity and his fans. May his soul rest in peace.

According to his close friend and industry colleague Anupam Kher, Kaushik passed away after suffering a heart attack in the early hours of Thursday morning. Kher stated that Kaushik was at a friend’s home in Delhi when he started feeling unwell and asked his driver to take him to the hospital. Sadly, Kaushik suffered a heart attack around 1 am while on the way to the hospital. He was 66 years old at the time of his passing. The entertainment industry and his fans have lost a talented actor and filmmaker, and his contributions to Indian cinema will be greatly missed.

Anupam Kher expressed his shock and sadness about the sudden death of Satish Kaushik in a tweet earlier. Kher stated that he was stunned to hear about the news and expressed his grief over the loss of his best friend of 45 years. He also acknowledged the inevitability of death as the ultimate truth of life but said he never imagined having to write such a post about his dear friend. Kher further added that Satish Kaushik’s passing has brought an abrupt end to their long-standing friendship, and life will never be the same without him. Kher concluded his tweet by offering condolences and saying “Om Shanti.”

Satish Kaushik, an alumnus of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India, passed away at the age of 66 due to a heart attack. He was a renowned actor and director, known for his roles in iconic movies such as “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron”, “Mr India”, “Deewana Mastana”, and “Udta Punjab”. Kaushik was also a director, and his popular films include “Tere Naam” and “Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai”.

Kaushik’s last post on Twitter was a series of pictures from the Holi celebrations organised by Javed Akhtar on March 7. Kangana Ranaut, who worked with Kaushik in her upcoming film “Emergency”, expressed her grief on Twitter and remembered him as a kind and genuine man. Satish Kaushik is survived by his wife and daughter. His contributions to the entertainment industry will always be remembered, and his passing is a great loss to the film fraternity and his fans. May his soul rest in peace.
