Ramakrishna Mission spends ₹1292.03 Crores on Human

PARTHA ROY, KOLKATA: The 115th Annual General Meeting of Ramakrishna Mission ( RKM) & Ramakrishna Math held in Belur Math (West
Bengal) on Sunday, December 15, 2024 under the Chairmanship of
Swami Gautamananda, President of Ramakrishna Mission & Math .

, General Secretary of RKM in his Report for the FY 2023-24 informed that an
expenditure of ₹1292.03 crores was spent by Ramakrishna
Mission towards its various service activities like Relief & Rehabilitation,
General Welfare, Educational and Medical activities and Rural & Tribal
Community Development which directly benefitted more than 150 lakh
people through its 235 branches in Bharat. He also mentioned various projects undertaken for the
benefit of the economically backward sections of our society.
For more than 127 years, the Ramakrishna Mission has been serving
humanity without distinction of caste, creed, colour, faith and economic
status through its 340+ branches and sub-centres all over the planet Earth with
emphasis on the poor and underprivileged based on the principles
enunciated by Swami Vivekananda which is ‘Service to mankind is
Service to God. RKM ‘s philanthropic activities are spread across many nations .

Ramakrishna Mission received (i) Governor’s Award for Excellence from the Governor
of West Bengal in recognition of the Mission’s contribution to the field of social service and
(ii) Arunachal Pradesh state Award in recognition of the meritorious services rendered by RKM in Arunachal Pradesh.
Six new branch centres of the Ramakrishna Mission were started at Gurugram in Haryana,
Kalyani in West Bengal, Kharupetia in Assam, Sakwar in Maharashtra, Thirumukkudal in
Tamil Nadu, and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
Three new branch centres of Ramakrishna Math were started at Amarkantak in Madhya
Pradesh, Dakshineshwar in West Bengal and Venkatapura in Karnataka.
Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Math, through their 100 centres and sub centers situated in 24 countries outside India, provide spiritual , humanitarian services as well as play important role in promotion of global understanding of Hinduism , Hindu philosophy , Bharatiya civilization and building bridges of goodwill.
