Partha Roy, Kolkata: Bharat Mata’s illustrious son Shri Anil Swarup, former Secretary of the Government of India, author, and strategist, spoke at a special session of the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata on October 13, 2025. He stressed that visionary leaders must combine strong moral values with the ability to execute their vision. Swarup emphasized using innovative communication to manage teams and highlighted trust as key in leader-subordinate relationships. He advocated for continuous learning and adapting to change without compromising ethics, urging leaders to practice compassion and truth for societal good.

Swarup had conceived the concept of implementation process of Universal Health Coverage through medical insurance policies funded by State and Central Governments to take care of marginalised as well as other sections of the society. Swarup calls for formation of coalition and collaboration amongst people with good intentions to create synergy of resources to bring positive changes and find solutions of complex problems of the society.

Shri Anant Saharia, newly elected CCC President, emphasized a positive approach to challenges in his welcome address. Shri Anurag Jhunjhunwala, Senior Vice President, delivered the vote of thanks.
