PARTHA ROY, KOLKATA: West Bengal Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta held pre-budget consultations with NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Ashok Lahiri and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on 17th June 2026.
Dasgupta discussed funding and implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes requiring state contributions, along with industry incentives to attract private investments in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Bengal’s development. He had earlier held similar pre-budget consultations in North Bengal and Durgapur.
