Modi Government implemented some of the Welfare Schemes of Congress in a better way: P. Chidambaram former FM

Chidambaram former Finance Minister of India who presented eight full budget & one interim budget admitted Modi Government has implemented even some of the welfare schemes planned & launched during previous Congress party led UPA Government in a better way while speaking at a book discussion at Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival in Kolkata on 10th February 2024 while talking with veteran journalist Monideepa Banerjee.

Mr. P. Chidambaram was discussing his new book “A Watershed Year” with Monideepa Banerjee. Modi Government’s effort to promote biometric based identity through Aadhar no., implemention of “JanDhan, Aadhar, Mobile”(JAM), fixing of prilferage, transfer of cash to beneficiaries electronicly were conceptualised during Congress regime.
