India’s First 5G-Connected Ambulance Unveiled by Apollo Hospitals Kolkata

The custom-designed ambulance features advanced medical equipment, patient monitoring applications, and telemetry devices that transmit real-time health data to the hospital. Additionally, the ambulance transmits comprehensive telemetry data, including vital signs, to doctors and specialists at the hospital, enabling them to make informed decisions and provide remote guidance to the paramedics.

The 5G-connected ambulance also features onboard cameras that facilitate real-time collaboration between paramedics and emergency room (ER) specialists. Using the high-definition video feed, ER doctors can virtually guide paramedics in administering necessary aid and even basic procedures while en route to the hospital.
