10th edition of Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet inaugurated

Partha Roy, Kolkata:Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet’s ( #KALAM )10th edition was inaugurated on 22nd March 2022 at iconic Victoria Memorial Hall Lawns in Kolkata. KALAM session is being organised from 22nd -27th March. Festival was inaugurated by noted Urdu poet Javed Akhtar in presence of festival Director Malavika R Banerjee, Curator of Victoria Memorial Hall Dr. Jayanta Sengupta and top brass of Tata Steel.

The festival is playing critical role in rejuvenating literary & cultural scape of Kolkata which suffered in a big way during current pandemic.

On Inagural day noted economist & Noble laureate Abhijit V Banerjee addressed a session. Festival sessions are going to be addressed by top & celebrity authors, journalists, musicians,historian & others.

Children, Youths, senior citizens and other avid readers are feeling happy to be physically present in various sessions and to interact with many celebrity authors following Covid safety protocol during current pandemic  challenges.

Kolkata Literary Meet is facilitating face to face author-readers interactions and enriching the cultural scape of City of Joy.
