NEWS WAVE INDIA: In a heartwarming tribute to Bollywood’s “King of Hearts,” the Shah Rukh Khan Fans Club of Behala celebrated the superstar’s 60th birthday in a way that truly mirrored his spirit — by spreading love, joy, and compassion. Instead of a grand party, the club chose to mark the milestone through an act of kindness that touched many lives.

This year’s celebration, held at Save The Child Home in Thakurpukur, Kolkata, brought smiles to the faces of more than 150 underprivileged girls. The event was organised under the leadership of Surjendra Bagchi, spokesperson and key member of the club, who has been spearheading such initiatives for years.

The day began with a ceremonial cake-cutting dedicated to Shah Rukh Khan, followed by a joyful lunch with the children. The members of the fan club served traditional Bengali delicacies and sweets, including payesh, ensuring every little guest felt the warmth of the occasion. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, affection, and celebration — a perfect reflection of the values their idol stands for.

Speaking about the event, Surjendra Bagchi said, “We have always believed Shah Rukh Khan is not just a superstar — he’s our inspiration, our godfather. Celebrating his 60th birthday this way makes us feel closer to his values. We are sure he would be happy to see his fans spreading love the way he always does.”

For the Behala fan club, this was not just another celebration — it was a continuation of a 25-year-long tradition of honouring SRK through meaningful deeds. Founded in the late 1990s, the group has consistently used its admiration for the actor as a force for good, engaging in charitable activities such as blood donation camps, food distribution drives, and support for local orphanages.

As the club proudly completes its 25th year of devotion to Shah Rukh Khan, members reaffirm their heartfelt wish for the megastar’s good health and happiness. Through their actions, they continue to embody his famous mantra — “Spread love and positivity wherever you go.”

Indeed, while Shah Rukh Khan’s charm rules the silver screen, his fans in Behala have shown that his greatest legacy lies in the hearts he continues to inspire — not through fame, but through love.
