Russian National Day celebrated in Kolkata

Partha Roy, Kolkata: Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Maxim Kozlov and Mrs. Natalia Gerasimova hosted a Reception to mark the Russian National Day on 11th June 2025 at Taj Bengal in Kolkata. Russian National Day is celebrated on 12th June every year.

Reception was attended by city based diplomats from various nations, senior Government officials, Industrialists and business personalities, celebrities with social & professional ties with Russia as well as friends & well wishers of Russia. Mr. Kozlov in his address highlighted historical connection and cooperation between Governments & people of Russia and India. Mr. Kozlov emphasized resilience of people of Russia over centuries. Mr. Kozlov mentioned the completion of 25 years of Russia -India Strategic Partnership agreement.

Despite challenges of global geopolitical development from time to time, Mr. Kozlov emphasized that India and Russia multidimensional relationship is moving from strength to strength. India & Russia historical connection spanning over many centuries, even before modern nation states of India & Russia formed. Consul General Mr. Maxim Kozlov and Vice Consul Ms. Ekaterina Tyurina touch people’s hearts in Bengal and in India when they communicate in Bengali & Hindi building bridges of goodwill and people to people connect.
