News Wave India: This time during the puja, the voluntary organization ‘Soujatya’ got a number of air purifiers. In Corona pandemic situation, Rita Ghosh extended her helping hand for the benefit of needy children and handed over some air purifiers to ‘Soujatya’. For this social work, she was assisted by some other professionals – Rajshekhar Ghosh, Subhankar Dutt and Salilbaran Baral.

The 43-year-old voluntary organization ‘Soujatya’ has a wide range of activities in Kolkata, South 24 Parganas and other districts. This non-government organization (NGO) works for people living below the poverty line (BPO). They have arranged for 100 beds for children aged between 6 to 18 years. Nutritious food, medicine, clothes are distributed, and cultural and sports activities are regularly organized here. Their education has also been arranged on behalf of this voluntary organization.
The company has also made arrangements for temporary accommodation for women. Not only accommodation but also food, clothes, medicine, medical and other practical training have been arranged for them. After training, they have been working in different places including hospitals and nursing homes.
‘Soujatya’ has also built homes titled ‘Swadhar Shelter Home’ for mentally challenged women. Besides, family counseling centers have also been set up in different districts by this organization.
