NEWSW WAVE INDIA: Arm wrestling continues to surge in popularity across India, fueled by the success of the professional Pro Panja League (PPL) and the growing achievements of Indian athletes on international platforms. At the 23rd Asian Arm Wrestling Championship and the 22nd Asian Para Arm Wrestling Championship held earlier this year in New Delhi, India secured an impressive 176 medals across multiple categories.

Building on this momentum, Kolkata recently witnessed its grandest arm-wrestling event, ‘Flex Arm 2025’, on October 26, 2025, at the Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium. The championship, organised by Stamina Unleashed, attracted athletes from across the country. With the objective of promoting physical fitness, individual strength, and mental endurance, the event also aimed to inspire youth participation in sports and cultivate a strong fitness culture within the community.

“This is among India’s most prominent arm-wrestling competitions, offering a prize pool of ₹2 lakhs. Top athletes from across the nation are here, making it a remarkable opportunity for Bengal’s participants to compete and learn from seasoned professionals,” said David Khan of Stamina Unleashed.
