In a monumental event witnessed by millions nationwide, the consecration ceremony of the new Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple unfolded (Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha) on Monday, captivating viewers in homes and temples alike through live broadcast.
As the consecration transpired, Army helicopters showered flower petals on the newly constructed Janmabhoomi temple, signifying the immense significance of the occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his emotions on Twitter, declaring, “The extraordinary moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s life in Ayodhya Dham is going to leave everyone emotional. It is my great pleasure to be a part of this divine programme. Hail Siya Ram!”
Devotional “Mangal Dhwani” Accompanies Consecration Ceremony
The consecration ceremony at the newly constructed Ram temple featured a devotional “Mangal Dhwani,” a grand musical rendition orchestrated by Ayodhya’s celebrated poet Yatindra Mishra, with support from the Sangeet Natak Akademi in New Delhi. Fifty traditional musical instruments from various regions of the country were part of this enchanting ensemble, including pakhawaj, flute, dholak, veena, algoja, sundari, mardala, santoor, pung, nagada, kali, and tambura.
Elite Gathering for Inauguration: Bachchan, Ambani, Adani, and Tendulkar among distinguished guests
As the Ram temple’s consecration unfolded, a distinguished gathering from Bollywood, business, and sports graced the historic occasion. State guests for this monumental event include Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, business magnates Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The exclusive guest list, comprising around 8,000 invitees, features 506 A-listers, including prominent politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges, and high priests arrived in Ayodhya in a private chartered plane for the inauguration of the 161-feet tall pink sandstone shrine.
