NEWS WAVE INDIA: On Sunday afternoon, the Rabindra Bharti Society held its spring festival at Rathindra Manch in Jorasanko Thakurbari, located next to Girish Park in Kolkata. State ministers, judges, vice-chancellors, member secretaries, lawyers, and cultural artists were among those who participated in the festival. Hundreds of cultural artists gathered to perform at the event.
Among the invited guests were State Cooperative Minister Shri Arup Roy, Juvenile Justice Chairperson Justice Shahidullah Munsi, National University of Juridical Science Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nirmalkanti Chakraborty, eminent lawyer Anindya Mitra, and KC Daser. Also in attendance were K.C DAS Karndhar Dhiman Das, Calcutta Municipal Corporation Borough Chairman Anindya Raut, journalist Mullah Jasimuddin, and others.
Rabindra Bharati Society’s General Secretary Sirddhath Mukhopadhyay was present on the stage throughout the event, which was conducted by Paramita Sarkar.
During the spring festival, hundreds of cultural artists performed Rabindra Sangeet and danced collectively around the Thakurbari. The recital by the ‘Alap’ organization captivated more than three hundred cultural enthusiasts in attendance. The distinguished guests who attended the Rabindra Bharti Society’s Basant Utsav explained in detail the relevance of the festival in the spirit of the poet Holi. Rabindra Bharati Society’s General Secretary Sirdhath Mukhopadhyay said, “Throughout the year, we spread the idea of the poet through cultural programs.” It is known that Rabindra Natak will be staged soon at Rathindra Manch of Rabindra Bharti Society.
