Amazing Thailand Festival in Kolkata from 12-14 May, 2023

Partha Roy, Kolkata: The Royal Thai Consulate in Kolkata will be organising a three-day Thai Cultural Festival in Kolkata from 12th to 14th May 2023 which will be the largest event under the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata so far this year. Thailand has started organizing festivals under the banner ‘Thai Festival’ since 2016.

“We are excited to bring Thai Festival back to Kolkata to showcase the best of Thailand and the cultural ties we shared between our two countries,” said Ms. Acharapan Yavaprapas, the Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata. “It is a great opportunity for us to introduce Thailand’s 5F Soft Power; Food, Film, Fight, Festival and Fashion to people in Kolkata, also inviting them to visit Thailand in this coming summer season through many special offers from our airlines and travel agent partners,” said Ms. Siriges-a-nong Trirattanasongpol, Director at Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi office.

“Amazing Thailand: Part of Your Life,” is theme of the festival and set to captivate the city of joy in 2023, for the first time in three years since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thai festival will feature :
•Authentic Thai cuisine: live cooking demonstration by a highly experienced Thai chef
•A famous Thai martial art demonstration or Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing)
•Cultural performances: Experience the richness of Thai culture through traditional music
•A wide range of Thai products
•Thailand’s tourism showcase: learn more about the best destinations, accommodations, and activities in Thailand through interactive displays and information booths from agents and airline
•Workshops: browse and enjoy the handicrafts workshop, Thai dessert making, and Thai Massage workshop throughout the day.

Entry to Amazing Thailand festival from 12-14 May 2023 at South City Mall is free for all visitors, and the festival will run from 11.00 hrs. to 21.00 hrs. on all three days.
