Featuring an impressive lineup, the festival captivates art enthusiasts with a mesmerizing display of over 3,500 masterpieces created by 400 talented artists and showcased across 100 vibrant booths. Notably, the event offers live musical performances, captivating live painting demonstrations, and a delightful food court for visitors to enjoy.<\/p>\n

The four-day Festival was inaugurated by Santoor artist Padma Shri Pandit Satish Vyas and eminent Artist Art Maestro Vasudev Kamath. Sandeep Marwah, Tirthankar Biswas, and Rajinder Patil among others were present on November 2 at the Constitution Club of India on Rafi Marg, New Delhi.<\/p>\n

Rajendra Patil, the visionary founder, and director of India Art Festival, serves as the President of the Bombay Art Society, one of the oldest Indian art institutions founded in 1888, and Editor and publisher of the Indian Contemporary Art Journal, a quarterly art magazine, says, “The primary inspiration behind initiating the India Art Festival back in 2011 was to create a platform that showcases and promotes contemporary art in India, with a particular focus on young emerging artists and mid-level art galleries, as it is often challenging for them to access such platforms or enter the art fair circuit due to huge cost factor.”<\/p>\n

This year’s edition of the India Art Festival promises to deliver an immersive sensory experience like no other. The visitors can be expected to be captivated by an array of mediums of subjects and styles that reflect the unbridled form of artistic expansion from all corners of India said Mr Patil. Several booths all the four-day festival are bound to leave a lasting impression he claims.<\/p>\n

The venue transformed into a cultural oasis, offering not only a visual feast but also a multitude of fusion shows, live music performances, mesmerizing live painting demonstrations, and captivating film screenings. The notable presentation of the film \u2018The Eternal Canvas – 12,000 Years Journey through Indian Art\u2019, traces the evolution of India\u2019s rich artistic heritage from ancient times to the present day.<\/p>\n

The festival is its 8th edition in the capital but the 25th milestone edition across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, solidifying its role in nurturing the burgeoning art scene in the country. It was graced by the participation of distinguished artists and musicians, including renowned figures such as Pandit Satish Vyas on Santoor, S Akash on flute, and others, enriching the cultural experience for all attendees. The event will also host a diverse range of art galleries, each contributing a unique perspective to the contemporary art scene.<\/p>\n

Poonam Bhatnagar, a Delhi-based artist, with a strong educational background including a diploma in textile design, wished to bring a diverse artistic style to her work. She says “My artistic journey aims to connect humanity and the cosmos, leaving a legacy of empathy and responsibility. Through circles and lines, I hope to inspire a commitment to caring for our planet, fostering unity among diverse communities, and celebrating the beauty that arises from the fusion of celestial and terrestrial realms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lekha Subharwal, a Freelance Artist, Expert in Folk and Fabric Painting Certified Pidilite Art and crafts Trainer, Trained herself in the Mughal style of Miniature Painting and has Adopted a unique style of Finger Painting said “I love meeting people and I try to analyze their emotional side, which, no surprise, everyone expresses in many different ways. These observations give me subjects and thoughts for my work and I would always want my work to be a mirror of the emotions I have studied. As everyone else, I get influenced by the environment around me and it gives critical shades to my work”.<\/p>\n

She is also the director of IMPACT Partners in Social Development and a Founder Member of \u201cMajlis\u201d- An Art Forum for upcoming Artists that provides them support and space to interact among their community and with art enthusiasts. It is promoted by a group of amateur and professional artists that aims to establish a direct link and dialogue between artists and those who appreciate art. Within a span of a few months of its formation, Majlis has organized a Group Show, a workshop, and several consultations for its members, she informed.<\/p>\n

Another participant Gautam Das, a self-taught artist from Kolkata inherited his talent from his late father Anil Das. His abstract, chaotic style captures the essence of nature with vibrant colours. His passion led to the establishment of Arpitam Kala Mandir where he imparts his artistic knowledge to aspiring students and fosters their creativity.<\/p>\n

Riya Vaishnav from Udaipur, also a nature lover established a new dimension of art by showcasing her work at the fair. She breathes life into the canvas with beautiful colours, has tasted success at a very young age and has become quite famous because of her talent. She said \u201cWhen the brush of emotions is applied on the canvas, the picture that emerges is unique, supernatural and always different from the crowd of the world and such artistry is bound to win your heart and mind\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
