However, she was informed that her account had been closed and asked to wait for 1-2 days to find out the status.<\/p>\n<p>After two days, Ms. Chatterjee&#8217;s peon received a PPF account statement from the bank, which revealed that her account had been closed with a death claim, and the amount of Rs. 9.17 Lakh had been transferred to an unknown SAVING BANK account. Shocked and confused, Ms. Chatterjee has reported the incident to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The police have started an investigation into the matter, and the officer in charge of Karaya PS, Mr. Pahari, has assured Ms. Chatterjee that they will do their best to find out what happened to her money. However, Axis Bank Ltd has yet to provide a clear answer as to where and how the money disappeared and who is responsible.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Chatterjee has expressed her concern about the incident and has urged her media friends to spread the word and create awareness about such incidents.
