Delhi Kala Utsav Concludes with Grand Celebration: ‘The Hero of Harmony, Ram,’ Inspires Artistic Showcase

Dilip Guha, New Delhi: Sanskar Bharti, Delhi Province, marked the splendid conclusion of the second edition of ‘Delhi Kala Utsav’ at Ravindra Bhavan, propagating the values and ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram through the medium of art. The festival aimed to create awareness about the life principles of Lord Shri Ram and build a harmonious society by familiarizing the youth with his ideals and uplifting the deprived sections.

The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Abhijit Gokhale, All India Secretary of Sanskar Bharti; Bharat Bhushan, Delhi Pradesh Karyavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh; Ashwani Dalvi, All India Mahamantri of Sanskar Bharti; Ashok Tiwari, All India Executive Committee Member; renowned dancer Kamalini Nalini, and Prabhat Kumar, Executive President of Sanskar Bharti, Delhi Province.

The festival showcased unparalleled presentations by eminent artists in the fields of music, dance, singing, drama, painting, and sculpture, all centered around the theme of ‘The Hero of Harmony, Ram.’ The inauguration ceremony took place with the lighting of a lamp in front of the Nataraj statue.

Prabhat Kumar, Executive President, stated that the festival serves as a means to awaken the cultural consciousness of Delhi residents and strives to depict the ideals of Lord Shri Ram through various art forms.

Ashwin Dalvi emphasized that art is the most powerful medium of expression, and events like these in Delhi highlight the cultural richness and festivity of its residents.

Bharat Bhushan stressed the relevance of the theme ‘The Hero of Harmony, Ram’ in today’s context, urging people to live harmoniously according to the ideals of Lord Shri Ram, transcending societal divisions.

Especially noteworthy was the announcement of an upcoming unique exhibition featuring paintings and sculptures by nearly a hundred artists, depicting Prabhu Shri Ram and a harmonious society, in anticipation of the auspicious occasion of the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024.

The festival not only showcased traditional and vanishing art forms such as puppetry, pottery, bioscopes, folk dance, and folk songs but also featured stalls offering delicious and popular Delhi cuisines, adding a special attraction to the event.

In his closing address, Alok Kumar, International Executive Director of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, invited everyone to consider every temple as Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Temple on the occasion of the consecration of Prabhu Ram’s idol in the newly constructed Ram Temple on January 22, 2024.

The event concluded with a poetry symposium focused on Prabhu Shri Ram and harmony, chaired by Dr. Kirti Kale, featuring prominent poets like Rajesh Agrawal, Arjun Sisodia, Rajesh Chetan, Anil Agrawanshi, and Basant Jain.

The festival, supported by the Sahitya Akademi, Lalit Kala Akademi, and Sangeet Natak Akademi, witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of art enthusiasts.
