The event was primarily aimed at encouraging greater participation from the Rajasthani diaspora and international buyers. The roadshow featured speeches from several prominent figures, including Mr. Rajiv Arora, Chairman of the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council & RAJSICO, Mr. Dheeraj Shrivasatava, Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation, and Mr. Mahendra Parakh, IAS, Commissioner of Industries & Commerce for the Government of Rajasthan.
During the event, Mr. Arora spoke about the importance of the expo, which is being organized in accordance with the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot. He emphasized that the expo would serve as a significant milestone for the state’s export sector and highlighted Jodhpur’s status as the handicraft capital of India, where products such as wooden and iron handicrafts are exported worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Arora noted that the government had recently approved a special assistance package of Rs. 95 crores for the capacity expansion of the Inland Container Depot in Jodhpur.
Mr. Shrivasatava, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the policies implemented under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot, which he said had helped to boost the tourism and industrial sectors in the state. He also emphasized the important role that the Rajasthan International Expo would play in the handicraft sector and the organization’s ongoing efforts to stay in touch with both resident and non-resident Rajasthanis. He noted that the foundation had recently launched a Non-Resident Rajasthanis policy to facilitate greater cooperation and contribution from the diaspora.
Finally, Mr. Parakh shared important information about the expo, highlighting the range of handicraft products that would be showcased at the event, including wood and iron furniture, ceramics, and more. He urged Rajasthanis living abroad to provide their best possible cooperation and noted that members of the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council would be provided with various facilities during the expo. Overall, the roadshow was a success in raising awareness about the expo and encouraging greater participation from the Rajasthani diaspora and international buyers.
