NEWS WAVE INDIA: The Howrah Police detectives arrested a 19-year-old man, Sumit Shaw, who was seen carrying a weapon during the Ram Navami procession from Munger in Bihar to Howrah. The incident sparked a political controversy as Trinamool All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee tweeted a video of the gunman, leading to a war of words between Trinamool and BJP. The Trinamool spokesperson, Kunal Ghosh, claimed that BJP is creating trouble in Bengal by bringing criminals from Munger, while the BJP denied the allegations.

According to the Trinamool complaint, the Bengal police arrested Sumit Shaw, who was brought from Munger to create trouble in the Ram Navami procession. Kunal Ghosh said, “The question is, who made a mess by bringing Munger’s army to Howrah? This is BJP. BJP’s mask has been revealed.” On the other hand, BJP leader and councilor Sajal Ghosh questioned Sumit Shaw’s affiliation with Trinamool and asked, “Who can be arrested from Munger? How can he enter the procession with a revolver?”

The incident has raised political pressure as both parties exchange accusations. The BJP has denied any involvement, while Trinamool demands the arrest of all conspirators of BJP. The police investigation is ongoing, and more details will come out in the CID investigation.
