ED produced Anubrata virtually in the courtroom of Judge Rakesh Kumar

NEWS WAVE INDIA: On Wednesday night at 11:20 pm, the hearing began at a special CBI court in Rouse Avenue regarding the arrest in the case of cattle smuggling. The judge, Rakesh Kumar, started questioning with the CBI lawyer in the case. According to sources, the CBI wants to keep Anubrat in custody for 14 days.

Last August, Anubrata was arrested. His bail applications have been rejected several times. Later, the ED wants to question him in Delhi. Anubrata’s former bodyguard Sahagal, who was arrested a long time ago in the cattle smuggling case, is being held in Tihar Jail in Delhi. Central investigators have repeatedly claimed that Anubrata is involved in cattle smuggling. Although Trinamool leader’s lawyer Saibal has asked if any such allegations have been established.

Earlier, Anubrata Was approached to the Calcutta High Court to prevent his trip to Delhi. However, the court dismissed the plea last Saturday. Meanwhile, Delhi and Calcutta High Courts fined him 100,000 rupees for withholding information in the application. The High Court informs Anubrata that he can take ID to Delhi. However, he must undergo a medical examination at a central government hospital in Kolkata. In addition, he must be accompanied by a physician during the flight.

After a long delay, on Monday, Anubrata was taken from Asansol’s correctional facility to Delhi by air in the cattle smuggling case.
