Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantray is new National President of IFSMN for 2025 – 2027

PARTHA ROY, Kolkata: Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray  Editor in Chief of Paryavekshak ( Odia daily ), The Kalinga Chronicles (English daily ) elected as National President of IFSMN ( Indian Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers ) unanimously for the period 2025 – 2027. As per  power vested on National President by the Constitution of IFSMN, Dr Samantaray  appointed  Mr B.S.  Deshpande,  Secretary General, Mr Virendra Kumar  Saini as National Treasurer of  IFSMN.

Dr. Pabitra  M Samantaray appointed Shri Surendra Verma, Shri Shankar Kodala, Shri CHM Malikarjun. Mrs. KD Mishra as National Vice Presidents. Mrs. Sunita Upadhyay, Shri Dheeraj Kumar,  Shri Narendra Babu, Shri Radhashyam Panda Mrs. Shivani Jalota are new Joint General Secretaries of IFSMN.

Mr Aman Narayan Swami, Mr Uday Seema, Mr A L Vasavagouda are new National Executive Council members of IFSMN. Dr Samantaray appointed Shri Santosh Kumar Yadu & Shri Bhanupratap Nayak as coordinator of Chhattisgarh & Odisha  respectively.

Shri Navneet Rawat was appointed National Media coordinator. IFSMN celebrated its 40th Foundation Day on 29th April 2025 at Jagannath Mandir Auditorium Hauz Khas in New Delhi. Former External Affairs Minister and acclaimed journalist Mr. M J Akbar and eminent personalities from various sections of the society graced the celebration. Homage was paid to the soul of recent victims of terrorism in Pahalgam.
