Ambassador Kenneth Félix Haczynski da Nóbrega announced first “India – Brazil Defence Meet” and “2+2 Bilateral Dialogue” will be held soon while addressing special session on “India -Brazil Fostering Trade Partnership- Focus West Bengal” organised by Bharat Chamber of Commerce on 24th February 2024 in Kolkata.
Ambassador Kenneth Nóbrega mentioned Agriculture, Defence, Energy are three key areas of business cooperation between India and Brazil. Brazil-India relationship is “Trust based relationship”.

Ambassador Kenneth Nóbrega said Brazil is working to partner with Indian companies in cattlefeed production and food processing in agricultural sector. Brazil will be interested to explore business collaboration opportunity in areas of iron & steel manufacturing, specialised leather production in West Bengal.
Brazilian defence major Taurus Armas S.A. is partnering Jindal Defence to manufacture 9mm pistol in Hisar, Haryana. Companhia Brasileirade Cartuchos (CBC) Brazil, the world’s second-largest ammunition manufacturer, and Stumpp Schuele & Somappa India (SSS Defence) are manufacturing amunition for Defence forces in JV partnership in Andhra Pradesh.
Aircraft manufacturer Embraer has presence the fields of defense, commercial aviation and executive aviation in India. Embraer Defense & Security and Mahindra group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly manufacture C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft for the Indian Air Force.
